UFOs
When Deception in the Unknowable Spaces moves into the Knowable Spaces
In our current moment, the UFO / UAP files are being released. Fascinating government web site, by the way. I go there often to feed narratives into my Science Fiction books. News commentaries and pod casters predict that theologians and people of faith will be tremendously vexed by the uncovering of Aliens, UFOs, Kidnappings, and so on. They failed to ask me about it – a Jesus focused retired Microsoft Digital Architect and Science Fiction author. Probably because I’m nobody special.
Discussions are popping up everywhere. Even in the weight room. I asked several young men discussing this as we pounded iron at my gym, “Imagine if the Bible was an extraterrestrial message. Which do you trust? Stuff on the news or internet that originates from the easily deceived hearts and minds of humans, or a book that begins with an immediate challenge to believe, ‘In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth?’”
They thought and stumbled, but then one asked, “But do you believe in UFOs?”
I winked as I worked my hand weights, “Absolutely! My hope is that when they speak to humans on the nightly news and say they come to serve us, that somebody asks, ‘Baked, Fried, or Boiled?’” (I think Isaac Asimov was the first with that quip.)
They laughed but I went more serious, “We have to answer the question of why UFO and Alien discoveries are coming in surprising and increasing numbers since the end of World War II. I view this as a conflict with all the deception, combat, and friction of war that Clausewitz wrote about. In this struggle, humans are both the prizes and the pawns in a heavenly war that is more fierce and violent than anything in the Marvel Universe. We should not worry about UFOs and the flash fake news of the moment. Worry about answering the question Jesus asked the Apostles, ‘Who do you say that I am?’ Peter answered, ‘You are the Christ, the son of the living God.’ Answering that question is the highest form of extraterrestrial truth from beyond space – time. It directly impacts your destination after this life ends. Paying more attention to UFOs means you were successfully distracted away from your own salvation. None of the Aliens have that answer. Or they’ll lie to make you think they have the answer.”
There was silence in the weight room except for the old guy grunting as he lifted his hand weights. I did crassly challenge them to look up my Sci Fi books on Amazon. I told them that my books don’t land in Christian bookstores next to the light weight romance books because I kill too many people.
In the 2027 PBJ, you will gain perspective and wisdom from many of my friends – both living and dead - but even they would join me in telling you… do not be distracted from…
