Reproductive Health Equity Act
Testifying about Murder on the floor of the Colorado State House
I spent four and a half hours listening to people who support the Colorado Reproductive Health Equity Act HB 22-1279. They spoke to the glories, usefulness, and necessity of murdering babies through legalizing abortion. I found it interesting that pastors and ministers on the other side, who favor this bill, rendered themselves apostate, in my mind. They twisted, mangled, and perverted scripture - even slandering the sovereignty of God. It made me recall that scene from the old rapture movie where the pastor left behind started weeping that his agendas, deceptions, and opinions deceived an entire congregation. That four hours was a Shiitake Mushroom salad - in the words of an Army Airborne Blackhat who taught me how to jump out of perfectly good airplanes.
Finally, after devouring that horrible salad, those opposed to this bill got to testify. I don’t know if the other side was listening but the people who love life were awesome. They ranged from doctors to pastors to Reps from the Catholic Archdiocese of Colorado to little folks like me.
A witness observed, “The language in this bill is very Angry, as if you have an axe to grind. That never makes for good law.”
Another witness said, “I don’t know how many of you who support this bill believe in God, but whether or not you do, all of you will face Him and account for how you vote on this wicked legislation.”
An OB-GYN who did abortions until 15 years ago described her epiphany moment when she realized in the middle of an abortion that she was murdering a baby. WOW! She challenged all those who support the bill to go to an abortion clinic, watch what happens, look in the garbage bags filled with baby parts, then come back and vote.
So many eloquent people and here is my small blurb of testimony:
Good evening and thank-you for hearing me
The Reproductive health equity act is repugnant. The last sentence in the Bill summary states that a fertilized egg, embryo, or fetus does not have independent or derivative rights under the laws of the state.
It’s as if you are attempting to use a magic legislative wand to legalize the murder of our most innocent and vulnerable individuals.
From conception, that little one has a unique DNA package and in a few short weeks, a heartbeat. They are individuals.
Like slaves, that our nation fought a civil war to free, these little ones are silent with no voice in their demise. This bill would remove their individuality for purposes that can only be labelled as execution, denying them due process under our constitution.
All people are endowed by our sovereign creator with life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, in His image. Even the unborn.
This bill is nothing less than justification and legalization of infanticide.
Thank you for listening
