Last Saturday was the Colorado Republican State Caucus. My first one and fascinating but a very long day.
I really like Greg Lopez and Heidi Ganahl in the Republican Primary for Governor of Colorado. That is a hard choice between two great people, and I REALLY hope they keep the campaign for the Governor’s mansion positive… and neither does the job for the Dems of destroying each other.
Whichever one goes to the November election will be great for Colorado and face a hard road, But GOD...
Tina Peters for Secretary of State, AWESOME! Being charged with election felonies (related to forcing accountability on Colorado) at the same time you are running against the Dem controlled office making those charges is Coool Beans! She will return our state to integrity in our elections and already demonstrated the courage to do so.
Like the governor’s mansion, hard to win, But GOD...
Ron Hanks for Senate. Yea, not excited and I’ll vote for him but have little hope of a win, But GOD…
KBB (Kristi Burton Brown) did a great job of chairing the State Caucus and keeping things moving. My pastor and I had a chance to pray with her before things started up and she is impressive. Looking across the caucus floor in the World Arena, I had a pit in my stomach because basically, looking at the numbers, we face daunting tasks in the November elections.
But GOD…
The fruit of division abounds across Republican party organizations in Colorado, especially in its largest delegation from El Paso County. Complexity is the enemy of execution, and these complex silos of division will destroy our ability to elect conservative, pro-life people to state offices and the governor’s mansion. Again, looking across the floor of the World Arena, it was hard to see November turning out well. Some of the rhetoric about the 2020 elections - yes, I believe that election was stolen from Donald Trump - is simply old news. Some candidates spoke about life, but one can only hope that was not lip service.
We face a huge Unity problem, But GOD…
There are thick gold linings in this seemingly dark cloud.
Monday, 4 April, Gov Polis signed HB-1279, the Reproductive Health Equity Act, into law. This bill declares that every individual has a fundamental right to use or refuse contraception; every pregnant individual has a fundamental right to continue the pregnancy and give birth or to have an abortion; and a fertilized egg, embryo, or fetus does not have independent or derivative rights under the laws of the state.
Bottom Line, Colorado now has the most radical abortion laws in our nation and is worse than North Korea, But GOD…
As a little precinct leader in Colorado Springs and heading into the primaries, I want to see my candidates - have the guts - to make LIFE the core and critical issue in this election. Lopez and Ganahl spoke to it. As does Doug Lamborn, all the time. In Colorado, the only way to return our beautiful state to LIFE will be to convince voters that Polis and the Dems are blatant murderers of the unborn. That the Dems overreached in their radical sprint to abortion rights by legalizing abortion up to the day of birth. That denying LIFE and rights to the unborn are evil.
Complex silos of division that stifle unity, voter data, and history indicate we will lose in November…
BUT GOD…
Jay - Not joining the food part of Pastor Steve’s 40-day Daniel fast, but will be praying passionately for life and that the LORD treat the Democrats and Polis, as written in Psalm 109: 8, “…let another take his office.”
PS - There was a shrill, gossipy women’s group that inflicted their loud voices on the caucus. They were disrespectful, pouring venom and the latest slime text from their cell phones on all those around. My thought was that men statistically die sooner than their women. If associated with or married to women like that shrill, loud, ill-mannered group, they die sooner because they want to.
