In the United States, we have several awesome victories that land in a framework of serious problems:
The US Navy demonstrated its ability to knock ballistic missiles out of the sky during combat.
This is something Russia and Iran will study closely for the next round, and there will be a next round.
Analysts on NewsMax noted that Iran almost certainly possesses nuclear weapons. The attack on Israel was a test of the systems they might potentially use to reliably deliver Nukes on Israel.
For Iran and Russia, losing all their systems in an intercepted attack will send them back to the drawing board because all of Iran’s launched systems proved ineffective.
Biden was effusive, praising our F-35 squadrons and US Navy for superbly assisting Israel. Those units and ships did a great job!
Democrats and liberals continue their 1930s Nazi Germany style antisemitism in cities and on college campuses. Is the day coming when they put people in DC and the White House who finally halt US support of Israel?
Saw a picture of the Gaza beach. Hundreds of Gaza families played, romped, and enjoyed a great sunny day. I never saw that in any of the Warzones I’ve served in and that defies the mainstream media narratives.
It’s time to flood the Gaza tunnels with sea water. Remove Hamas so that Gaza families can continue to enjoy life on their beaches.
One of the narratives going into the election is our growing astronomical debt to pay for continuous war. For a lot of reasons, I’ve been a big ‘naysayer’ and critic of supporting the war in Ukraine. Yet, the dilemma is soberly described by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), in their 18 April 2024 newsletter:
A Russian victory is an Iranian victory. Moscow and Tehran have formed a military bloc with the aim of defeating the United States and its allies in the Middle East, Europe, and around the world. Russian and Iranian military forces have been fighting alongside one another in Syria for nearly a decade. The Russians have given Iran advanced air defenses and access to other military technologies and techniques, in addition to a front-row seat observing their efforts to defeat American and NATO missile defenses in Ukraine.[1] The Iranians in turn have given the Russians drones and access to drone technologies, including assisting with the construction of a massive factory to turn out thousands of Iranian drones in Russia.[2] Furthermore, Russian support to Iran has been limited in part because of the setbacks Russia has suffered in Ukraine. A victorious Russia will be free to give Iran the advanced aircraft and missile technologies Tehran has long sought.[3] If Russia gains control of Ukraine’s resources, as it seeks to do, it will be able to rebuild its own military and help Iran at the same time. Those concerned with the growth of Iran’s military power, ambitions, and aggression in the Middle East must recognize the degree to which Iran’s fortunes rise and fall with Russia’s.
Not good news, Not reported in the mainstream news to US citizens, but I believe ISW has it correct.
My biggest concern is that between now and inauguration of a new President next year, our current group of children and dementia addled fools in DC can lose this thing.
